Outreach and Community Partnerships
At Little Church on the Prairie and Lakewoodgrace, faith isn’t just something we talk about on Sundays; it’s something we live out in our community every day. Through partnerships with local organizations and service opportunities, we’re committed to being the hands and feet of Jesus in Lakewood, Tacoma, and beyond.
Faith in Action

We’re proud to work alongside organizations making a difference right here in our community. Our partnerships include:

Tacoma Rescue Mission
Our church supports their work in several ways including blessing bags filled with hygiene items. These are then used by their Search and Rescue team to distribute to the unhoused in our community.

Emergency Food Network
EFN works tirelessly to help ensure that no one in Pierce County goes hungry. We partner with EFN through their break bag packing events, financial support, and volunteer opportunities.

LASA (Living Access Support Alliance) of Lakewood
LASA supports individuals and families experiencing housing instability and homelessness in our own community. Through donations, and drives we help LASA provide emergency shelter, rental assistance, and essential services to our Lakewood neighbors in need

Caring for Kids
Caring for Kids supports children and families throughout our community. Our church helps with back-to-school events by providing supplies and clothing, assists with the Laundry Help program so kids have clean clothes for school.

Lakewood/Steilacoom Young Life
We’re proud to support our local Young Life ministry, which reaches out to middle school and high school students with the message of God’s love and faithfulness.

Family Renewal Center
The Family Renewal Center provides safe shelter, resources, and support for women and children escaping domestic violence. Our church partners with Family Renewal Shelter through donation drives, special collections, and advocacy, offering hope and practical assistance to families in crisis.
Additional Outreach Efforts
From seasonal food drives and holiday giving trees to community cleanup projects and prayer initiatives, there are always ways to get involved. Please check out our bulletins for upcoming volunteer opportunities.
